I do not have sufficient insight into the preschool or kindergarten branches to speak about their internal conditions. During the two years I worked at Laurus, I personally witnessed five teachers suffer mental or emotional breakdowns. Even one such case should call into question a school’s internal culture. The fact that five occurred within such a short time frame is a glaring indicator of a profoundly toxic work environment—an environment shaped and perpetuated by leadership at the highest level.
Unfortunately, LISS is a profit-driven school focused on appearances rather than reality. The result is an unsafe and unhappy environment for students and staff alike. It might be a step up from your eikaiwa, but it is still a fourth-rate institution by international school standards.
