Teachers are not qualified to do what they're doing and are given little to no training on teaching, classroom management or literally anything. Many Korean coteachers speak very little English and they have no interest in establishing a working relationship, or even assisting in the management of the class. There are regularly cult-like mandatory meetings early in the morning after teachers finished at 10pm the night before and are then expected to go and teach for 6 hours after the meeting. If you live outside of Seoul, expect to get very little sleep and spent 3 hours on public transport in order to attend regular meetings that are helped in Korean.
