About Us
Global School Scout (GSS) is an international education platform helping teachers find opportunities around the world. We connect educators with schools, provide resources for teachers moving abroad, and create content about teaching, travel, and international experiences. We are looking for a creative video editor to join our team on a freelance basis and help us create engaging content for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, Facebook Reels, and other social media platforms.
**Responsibilities**
You will be responsible for editing:
• 4–5 short-form videos per week (30–90 seconds)
• 1–2 longer videos per month when needed
Your tasks include:
• Editing raw video footage into engaging social media content
• Adding captions/subtitles
• Adding music, sound effects, transitions, and B-roll
• Creating strong hooks to improve viewer retention
• Adding graphics, images, and simple animations when needed
• Adjusting videos for TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and Facebook
**Requirements**
We are looking for someone who:
• Has experience editing short-form social media content • Understands TikTok/Reels style editing • Has good storytelling and pacing • Can make educational content interesting
• Can work independently and meet deadlines
• Has strong attention to detail
• Is comfortable communicating in English Experience with CapCut, Adobe Premiere Pro, After Effects, Canva, or similar editing tools is a plus.
**Work Style**
This is not an hourly position. We do not require you to be online during specific hours. We care about quality work and meeting deadlines. You can work whenever you want as long as projects are completed on time. We are looking for someone creative who wants to grow with a new international education brand.
